Smart Parking Operations

The operations console: monitor occupancy, raise alerts from parking machines, and control field devices like barriers in real time — behind role-based access.

The problem

Reading state is half the job. When a barrier sticks or a machine faults, someone has to act — and if acting means walking to the equipment, the console has not done its job.

How it was built

Control, not just telemetry

Operators can drive field devices directly from the console. That raises the stakes on every interaction: a control that opens a barrier has to be unambiguous about what it does and who is allowed to press it.

Alerts routed from the machines

Parking machines raise alerts into the console so faults surface where the operator already is, instead of being discovered by a driver at the gate.

Role-based access as a product feature

A full user management module with role-based access control decides who can see a site and who can act on it — necessary once the UI can move physical equipment.

Where it landed

  • Real-time occupancy monitoring and direct device control in one console
  • Live fault alerts surfaced from parking machines
  • Role-based access control over both visibility and actions
